Action Figure Inventory ("AFI," "the app," "we," "us") is developed and operated by Transversal Labs LLC, based in Omaha, Nebraska. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it's handled, and the choices you have.
We built AFI to be simple and private by default. We do not collect personal information about you, we do not require an account, and we do not run analytics.
AFI does not collect, and Transversal Labs does not receive:
AFI does not require you to create an account or sign in.
AFI stores the collection data you create — action figures, wishlist items, on-order items, and their details — locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
If you have iCloud enabled on your device, this collection data automatically syncs to your own private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit service. This sync is between your Apple devices only. Transversal Labs has no access to your private iCloud data. We cannot see, retrieve, or modify anything stored there.
Photos you attach to figures or wishlist items are saved to your app's iCloud Drive container when iCloud Drive is available on your device, or to your device's local storage when it isn't. Photos stored in iCloud Drive remain within your own Apple account.
When you tap to look up eBay prices for a figure, AFI sends a search query — either the figure's UPC barcode or a keyword based on the figure's title — to a secure proxy service operated by Transversal Labs and hosted on Cloudflare. The proxy forwards the query to the eBay Browse API and returns active listing results (titles, prices, condition, and listing images) to the app.
What is sent: the search query itself (a UPC number or keyword text).
What is not sent: your name, your device identifier, your collection contents, or any account information. The proxy has no way to link a query to an individual user.
Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) automatically retains basic request metadata — including the search query in the request URL, timestamp, and response status — for approximately 3 days for operational and debugging purposes, after which it is automatically deleted. This metadata is not linked to any user identifier and is not shared with third parties.
eBay's use of the query on their side is governed by eBay's own Privacy Policy.
If you have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers in your iOS Settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers), Apple may provide Transversal Labs with anonymized crash reports through Apple's built-in App Analytics system. These reports help us identify and fix bugs. They do not include personal information or your collection data. This sharing is controlled entirely by you through iOS Settings and can be turned off at any time.
AFI does not use any third-party crash reporting or analytics services.
AFI is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information from any user, we do not collect it from children.
Because AFI stores your data on your device and in your own iCloud account:
Because Transversal Labs does not store your collection data on our own servers, we cannot delete it on your behalf. Your data is in your control.
AFI interacts with the following third-party services:
We do not sell, rent, or share any information with advertisers or data brokers.
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will note them within the app or on our website.
